Centrifuge for cleaning oil

When grinding turbine parts, the tiny grinding swarf must be separated out of the oil. They get caught on and block the pipes. The employees of MTU Aero Engines use an 8000T centrifuge of MKR cleaning systems, which enables permanent cleaning of the grinding oil – permanently flange mounted and yet alternately for two grinding centres.

Where press fitting systems made of stainless steel, carbon steel and copper are produced, absolute cleanliness is required. Geberit Mapress GmbH uses an MKR Metzger GmbH evaporator to treat the aqueous emulsions used in the cleaning baths. The evaporator turns the process water into reusable clean water.

Dry filter and grinding sludge has substantial advantages: More metalworking fluid (MWF) remains in the machine, the MWF consumption falls and disposal costs are reduced. Flender purchased five vacuum belt filter units from MKR, to reduce these costs, to provide greater safety in production and also to do more for the environment.

Perfect cleaning and low servicing and maintenance costs with centrifuge 8000T

Sep 5, 2019 The old centrifuge was too weak and required too much support. The active baths in the 5-zone iron-phosphating plant had to be changed after only 8 weeks. And an enormous amount of cleaning work was required to remove the sediments, which is why it was always done at the weekend. With the new MKR centrifuge 8000T, this is now all done fully automatically, the baths now last 13 weeks before they need changing and the surfaces are perfect.
